You need to go to Port Louis, in the north of Grande Terre, 38km from Gosier, 42km from Ste Anne and 40km from St François.
Beauport, is a stopover for the sugar cultivation of Guadeloupe.
During a 50 minute walk, you will cross the agriculture of the factory, the Plaine de Gaschet along with woodlands of the region. You will discover the story of the “dame canne”, of the rum, through the little train “FlèchKan” which travels across the agricultural area of the factory and lets you discover the hinterland stopping at the station of Poyen to enjoy the sweetness coming from the sugar cane.
Beauport is also a discovery of the home of the factory owner, of the cane labyrinth and an introduction to all the stages of the processing of the sugar cane.
